Many of the best books that arrive in our used book department never make it to our catalogs or this website. They are sent to those who were already waiting for a copy through our want list service. We strongly recommend this service if you really need to find an important book. This is how it works . . .

send us as much information as you have on the book, along with $1.00 per title. This can be done conveniently, through the links on this page. We screen the incoming used books against this list only after it has been priced. If we find your book, we will automatically generate a letter to you, telling you that we have the book, its condition, and its cost. If you do not want the book as priced or described you have that option. You also have the right to return the book within 7 days of receipt if you're not completely satisfied.

Please note: There is no limit to the number of wants you can place. Wants are held on file for one year, or until found. The $1.00 fee covers our clerical costs and is not refundable, even if you decide to cancel your want, or opt not to buy the book if found. In the case of more than one request for a book, the oldest is always quoted first. We will notify by email only, so a valid email address is required. We will hold books for 1 week after notification. We will not search for books out of our field of expertise. If the email notification we send you bounces back, we must cancel your want at that time.
