Dr. Maurice Luker is Emeritus Professor of Religion at Emory & Henry College (in Virginia), having taught there since 1965. Previously he taught at Ohio Wesleyan University and Upsala College. His B.A. is from Southern Methodist University, and his B.D. and Ph.D. are from Drew University. Further study was at the University of Basle, the World Council of Churches center in Bossey, and in Paris. Dr. Luker was a member of the archaeological staff of expeditions to Shechem, Gezer, Tell el-Hesi, Caesarea Maritima, and the Karak Resources Project. He and his wife now make their home in Sarasota, Florida.
